I am impressed by the quality and ease of assembly. This is my third hive from MayBee. I also took one hive to a hive building seminar and set it up for the students. I roughed up the inside of the hive boxes on one hive. A wire wheel on a grinder did the trick in a couple minutes per assembled box. The new idea is to make the hive more "natural" inside to spur increased propolis production and maybe better anti microbial effects.

The hives I ordered arrived in about 3 days, way ahead of my 2 week estimate. All the materials were packed well and had no shipping damages. The quality of the materials exceeded my expectations. While the frames appear to be standard, the hive boxes are much thicker wood than I expected. The dovetailed joints fit tightly together. Everything was well coated in wax. This is my first attempt at keeping bees so the fun is just getting started. From this experience I would recommend Maybee hives to others.

I am very happy with my beehive. Excellent quality of wood, waxing on boxes and foundations was liberal, dovetail seams were very tight and fit together nicely. All materials ordered arrived in good shape and on time. Extra nails and screws were included. My only complaint is that everything was packed in one box and delivered to our front porch. It was WAY too heavy for us to move. We had to redistribute everything into 3 different boxes to lift them. Otherwise, this hive is my favorite of all the several different bands I have tried.
